Donations work on every plan, including Free. There is no per-donation cut, no fundraising percentage, and no platform fee — your only cost is Stripe or PayPal’s standard processing rate, paid to them, not us. Paid plans exist for bigger catalogs and extra features, not to tax your supporters.

Do I need to be a nonprofit?
No. Anyone can accept support — creators, clubs, open-source maintainers, community projects, small businesses. If you are a registered charity you can say so in your own wording; NanoCart does not make any tax-deductibility claims on your behalf, and neither should your campaign copy unless you hold that status.
Do I need an online store?
No. Donations are their own thing — no products, no cart, no catalog required. Plenty of sites use NanoCart purely for donations.
Can I take monthly donations?
Yes. Monthly giving runs on Stripe subscriptions, and you get real supporter tracking: status, consecutive months given, and lifetime totals.
Will it work on my website?
If you can paste a line of HTML — WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, Ghost, a static site, or a custom app — it works. The button is one tag and the widget is another.
Where does the money go?
Straight into your own Stripe or PayPal account. NanoCart never holds your funds and never takes a cut of them.
What does the donor see?
Your campaign name and description, your amounts, and Stripe’s secure checkout — then a receipt email. Card details never touch your site or ours.
Can I hide the money figures?
Yes. The supporter widget shows only the fields you enable — a supporter count with no dollar amounts anywhere is a supported setup.
Can I sell things too?
Yes. Donations sit alongside the full NanoCart cart and checkout, so the same site can take support and sell merch without a second tool.
